Please read this information, and the label on the box, before using Jet Lag Calm or Jet Lag Awake.

Regulatory status

Jet Lag Calm and Jet Lag Awake are complementary medicines (category D, combination product, herbal medicine), manufactured in a GMP certified facility in Pretoria in line with SAHPRA requirements for complementary medicines. This unregistered medicine has not been evaluated by the SAHPRA for its quality, safety or intended use. Health supplements are intended to only complement health or supplement the diet.

They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease, and they are not a substitute for a varied, balanced diet, sleep and medical care.

Jet Lag Awake contains caffeine

Jet Lag Awake contains 200 mg of caffeine per capsule, roughly the same as two cups of brewed coffee. This is a high caffeine product.

  • Not recommended for people who are sensitive to caffeine.
  • Not recommended for children or anyone under 18, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • Not recommended if you have a heart condition or high blood pressure, unless your doctor has advised that it is safe for you.
  • Do not combine with other sources of caffeine, such as coffee, tea, energy drinks, cola or caffeine supplements, on the days you take it.
  • Do not exceed the recommended dose of one capsule a day, and do not use for longer than five days in a row.
  • Take it in the morning, so the caffeine does not affect your sleep.

Jet Lag Calm cautions

  • Not recommended for children or anyone under 18, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • Contains 5-HTP. Do not combine with antidepressants or other serotonergic medication without medical advice.
  • Do not combine with sedatives, sleeping tablets or alcohol without medical advice.
  • If you feel drowsy, do not drive or operate machinery.
  • Do not exceed the recommended dose of one capsule a day.

Everyone

  • Speak to your doctor or pharmacist before use if you take chronic medication, have a medical condition, or are unsure whether these products are right for you.
  • Stop using the product and get medical advice if you have an unexpected reaction.
  • Keep out of reach of children. Store in a cool, dry place.
