Terms and conditions

These terms apply when you use jetlagsa.co.za or buy from us. The site is operated by JetLag SA, a division of Quasar Holdings (Pty) Ltd ("JetLag SA", "we", "us"), 81 Hamerkop Crescent, Montana Estate, Doornpoort, Pretoria, 0186. By using the site or placing an order you agree to these terms. Please read them with our Privacy Policy, Shipping Policy, Returns and Refunds Policy and Health and Safety Information, which form part of these terms.

1. Using the site

• You must be 18 or older to buy from us.
• Use the site lawfully. Do not try to interfere with its security or operation, or use it to send spam or harmful content.
• We try to keep the site available and accurate, but we do not guarantee it will always be uninterrupted or error free.

2. Our products and health information

Jet Lag Calm and Jet Lag Awake are complementary medicines, manufactured in a GMP certified facility in Pretoria in line with SAHPRA requirements for complementary medicines. This unregistered medicine has not been evaluated by the SAHPRA for its quality, safety or intended use. Health supplements are intended to only complement health or supplement the diet. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.

Information on the site, including the Jet Lag 101 guides and customer reviews, is general information and not medical advice. Always read the label, directions and warnings before use, and speak to a doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure whether a product is right for you. Jet Lag Awake contains caffeine (200 mg per capsule). See our Health and Safety Information for the full cautions.

3. Prices

• All prices are in South African rand and are the full price you pay for the products. There are no hidden charges.
• Delivery costs are shown at checkout before you pay.
• We try hard to show correct prices. If a price is clearly wrong, we will tell you before we dispatch and you may choose to continue at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.
• Promotions apply as described on the site at the time of your order and cannot be combined unless we say so.

4. Orders

• Placing an order is an offer to buy. The contract is formed when your payment has been confirmed and we send you an order confirmation email.
• We may decline or cancel an order, for example if a product is out of stock, a price was clearly wrong or we suspect fraud. If we cancel after you have paid, we refund you in full.
• Please check your order details, especially your delivery address and phone number, before you pay.

5. Payment

Payments are processed securely by PayFast. We do not see or store your full card details. Your order is only processed once PayFast confirms the payment.

6. Delivery

We deliver within South Africa. Delivery costs, times and what happens if a delivery fails are set out in our Shipping Policy.

7. Returns, refunds and cancellations

Your rights to return products and get a refund are set out in our Returns and Refunds Policy. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA) or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 (ECTA), including the right to cancel an online purchase within the cooling off period that ECTA provides.

8. Accounts

You can buy as a guest or create an account. If you have an account, keep your sign-in details private. For your security, accounts are signed out automatically after a period of inactivity. Tell us straight away if you think someone has used your account without permission.

9. Reviews and content you submit

• Reviews must be honest, based on your own experience and free of offensive, unlawful or promotional content. Do not include personal health details.
• We read every review before it is published and may decline, hide or remove reviews that break these rules. We do not edit the wording of reviews we publish.
• By submitting a review you allow us to display it on the site and in our marketing, with the name and town you provide.

10. Intellectual property

The JetLag SA name, logo, product names, packaging designs, text, illustrations and other content on the site belong to us or our licensors. You may not copy or use them commercially without our written permission.

11. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the site or our products, or for loss caused by events outside our reasonable control. Our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded under the CPA or other law, including liability for harm caused by unsafe goods.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on the site when you place your order applies to that order.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute will be handled by the South African courts with jurisdiction, and you may also use the alternative dispute resolution channels available under the CPA, such as the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud.
